I have a DRL out. Had shop fix it when it was in for an bigger issue (not electrical), they replaced the bulb for $159 and it still doesn't work (found that out a few days after I picked up the vehicle). Not taking it back because it will probably cost me ton of $, so I am trying to fix it myself. After doing some research online, it could be a bad socket (corroded, etc). I have figured out how to get to lamp housing with minimal effort (yea right) but I am having trouble finding a replacement socket, seems no one stocks them. I am going to call the Chevy Dealer Parts Dept Monday and get a part number and see how much they want for the item (going to a scrap yard would be a last resort). Any other suggestions for finding the part? Also any other suggestions as to what may be causing only one DRL not to light? The circuit troubleshooting videos all seem to indicate that if the modules or other components are bad then both lights will be out. Am new to this forum and any suggestions would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance. Cheers
