Hey guys... Driving thru a parking lot yesterday and got a pretty nasty grind for about a second or two then complete driveline lock.

Removed the driveshaft and truck was able to roll. I have been hearing nasty sounds from what I was certain was transfer case. What's the word on those seizing up?

Also if this is the transmission, how interchangeable are the 4L60E? Obviously I'd need a 4x4 version. But outside of that will any of them work?

there is a round plate about the size of a silver dollar on the trani with numbers you will need to match that up with a replacement.

Do you have the manual lever or the push button control on the Transfer Case?

Sometimes the Transfer Case can get caught between gears and lock up the shafts, with the manual lever you can just knock it forward and back to free it but you have to crawl under with the push button models.
