I have a 2007 Tahoe with a Belltech 2/4 drop using the drops struts in the front with alignment bushings and the cam plate kit and it still wears the tires fe the negative camber. If I raised the front up like 1/2 inch would that help? Or should I just make the change to a drop spindle?

Drop spindles are the way to go but you will probably have to get rid of the alignment bushings.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. And of course the alignment bushings will have to go for sure?

@992dr had the bushings and the cam plates and even with his 4+ inch front drop it was too much if I recall.

With spindles only you shouldn't even need the cam plates but it won't hurt to have them.

My Burb is 4/6 dropped with spindles and I just have the came plates... aligns just fine without issue.

Are the cams maxed out and still insufficient? I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think that a 2" drop would exceed the limits of adjustability with the extra degree from the cams AND the 2 degrees from the bushings. I hope this is not the case cuz I'll be dropping mine with spindles and struts and only using the cams.

Are you certain the inner wear is from negative camber? If the tires are toed out, that can cause inner shoulder wear. It would also cause feathering. Maybe have another shop check the alignment?

I’ve had it aligned a few times now. Drives fine and doesn’t seem to have any toe out. My last set of tires just wore on the inside. Visually I don’t see any negative camber so it must just be slight. Every shop tells me it doesn’t get perfect but really close on the alignment

I only had the alignment bushings and they were too much. I couldn't get my alignment in spec and it tore up the insides of my tires. They aligned it and it was way out. I talked to them after buying new tires and the re-aligned for free and got it all within a degree or two. I think I had posted the results in my thread.

G,
If all you're doing is a 2/4, you don't need either bushings or plates. I'd go grab some MOOG uppers to replace the ones with the bushings (that's what I ended up doing)
Cam plates are for someone with drops greater than 4 and if I remember correctly even a 5" drop.

Did you install them?
Were they necessary?
I still have mine but since I finally got my alignment all squared away, they will stay on the shelf for now.

Yes.
I believe so.

How low are you again?

I was thinking you were as low or lower than me.
