I've owned many cars too and work on hundreds of them....
Oil pressure DOES FLUCTUATE with temp, oil age, etc...
You prob didn't have an actual psi gauge on some of the cars you owned if the pressure
never fluctuated. You'd freak out if you started watching my high perf engine oil pressure gauge.
It's will fluctuate between 20-80 psi depending on rpms... That's what priority main oiling block
does....
