Dual Alternators - Can?

I have a spare alternator.

I want to add another battery. And need more juice for my needs.

Is there a mount that anyone knows of that would allow me to run dual alternators?

Would it just be cheaper/easier to get a higher amperage replacement instead?

It's probably going to be cheaper and easier to get a bigger battery and alternator. What the heck could you possibly be running?

on gas it may have to be custom made brackets from companies but most of them have moved on to doing 2000+ years now. there are some 200A unit round for about under $400 i think.

you can put a second battery under hood by replacing storage box with left tray. $70 in dealer parts.

hes probally running alot of electronics like a big audio system or custom lighting or both

Yea most likely. Easiest is to get the bigger stuff but I would do both just invade 1 blew you wouldn't be stranded that fast

My truck is my bug-out vehicle.

In the near future I want to be able to ensure I have enough power to power the following.

12K winch
Various off road lights
Frig/Freezer combo
1200W inverter (minimum)
Camp lights
Water pump for shower/toilet/kitchen

Original plans called for a solar charger for the deep cycle battery(s). But the panel(s) won't be permanently mounted on the truck. The dual or larger alternator is needed to keep the two batteries charged.

Both alternators (on mine and the parts truck) are brand new. Together they should put out 210A. (right?)

I'll pull the alternator before my parts Yukon goes to the scrap yard next Tuesday. It just got me thinking about how to actually use it instead of just storing it.

at an elevated idle maybe 210 between them nbs alt that drop in place are 145 amps each. $179 at amazon.

Are my stockers 105A? Heck...does it list on the alternator? I haven't even checked...
