to be able to use the 'dually' offset wheel up front, so you only need 1 spare and can rotate the tires.

Oh, ok. That makes sense.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I really do like the look of that....lol.

I would need a really good reason to make that investment, though, not just "hey, that looks cool."

I had a '90 Burban like that. Lowered, Bright red, custom interior, bought it off a firefighter in '93 who became legally blind and couldn't drive anymore. It was sweet ass hell too.. Ended up selling it to my brother 2 years later who eventually sold it to some Japanese dudes who took it to Japan.. Wish I never got rid of it. Had a few pics but got lost in my other computer..

Whats the use of it you ask. Tow capacity pure and simple. Some people use this trucks for more than eye candy. They can be used for towing too not just lowering and putting big a$$ rims on. A dually suburban could raise your tow capacity up alot. It could mean the difference of towing a 25 foot travel trailer and towing a 31 foot travel trailer. Thats just one reason for doing this mod. You now would say why dont they get a pickup. My answer would now be seating. Some poeple need seating for 8 not 6 which is max for any pickup. This isnt my cup oh tea though. I have seen a few older ones around here but not many. Interesting find though.

I kinda like it. It's unique. Now it needs a diesel engine to pull some weight!

The duramax conversion for the H2 was 10k so Im sure it cant be more then that but that would be the icing on the cake. I actually love it and would almost consider buying one that body style just to add that and a duramax for all the folks I take on trips with me and the stuff we pull because I looked at www.f650supertruck.com based here in Augusta and those are just too much for me.
