Ok I understand what you mean now. And yes, I have that same issue.

yea, you have to delete all phones from the oem bluetooth memory. I forget how but did a google search and it pulled up how to bring up bluetooth options. I think its related to Onstar settings.

the soldering MIC option should work. You must really hate the aftermarket one :). I never even seen how the OEM one looks but wouldnt having the mic behind the rear view mirror with nothing blocking allow for better sound? I kept it away from driver side due to wind when windows are open. Installers tend to put behind the rear view mirror and I have not had any issues but I understand if the stealth look is preferred. I wanted to put it at the OEM spot at one point too.
