My new-to-me '04 Burb has the Bose audio, CD changer with XM - basically every option you could get. I do get the XM preview when I'm switching bands.

So here's my dumb question: On the radio controls, there is a button that reads "CD/AUX".

Why does it say this? Was there ever a factory option for an Aux input on these stereos? I've searched and searched and the only thing I can find is the mod that involves cutting and soldering wires.

I'm not really interested in that but I would like to be able to add an aux input to the factory stereo, if possible. Is there any method other than the cut-and-solder one?

Oh, and a second dumb question: Since the paint has worn off my buttons, is there a kit of stickers or something I can get to make the buttons look better?

They have an extra **** on the back of the stereo for additional add ons like cd changer, rose and others. There are companies who use that port to add an auxiliary input. Isimple is a company I used to use when installing
