Whassup Fellas, I'm New to the group and don't know if this has been asked yet, but, I have a 95 Tahoe 5.7 4x4 and am looking to make my truck a cross between a hummer and a raptor. So...
I'm thinking of an 07 Duramax w/turbo and with Allison trans. What would be the nightmares I'd face

Check out dieselplace.com. Lots of duramax conversions over there.

I will say trying to get a GMT400 to play nicely with an engine from a GMT800 is quite a bit of work. You'd be better off starting with a GMT800 platform.

Standalone LBZ's Can be put into anything with wheels, tracks or props.
Just takes time and money.. you have to box the frame and do a d60 sas and a 14 bolt swap on the rear. But i still wouldn't suggest taking jumps unless you do a full hydro steer setup and have 14 to 18 inch coilover's with wicked good valving and springs..
