My '04 SLT is loaded to the max, as it has the All-Wheel Drive rather than the 4x4 option, I am thinking it is a Denali without the Denali badge/trim pieces.

So, ............ all I need is a DVD Player for the truck, so the kids can be occupied on long trips.

Here my questions:

- What is the better option, ceiling (flip screen) or headrest mounted?
- What is the cheaper of the two options?
- Does anyone have a ball park figure as to what it will cost to have a DVD Player proffessionally installed, inlcuding all hardware (DVD Player, possible Headrest screens, head phone)?
- Any recommendations in regards to what brand to purchase?

Thanks in advance, any input is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure which is cheaper but I prefer the headrest monitor option better so that the passenger(s) get a better view of the movie playing. Not sure on cost for install as I did my install on my own.

Now days they have decent headrest monitors with DVD players built in. Look at the Myron Davis or concept brand on ebay. With that route all you will need to to find power under the seat and you can install yourself.

A custom setup will cost you about 175-275 just for the install.

Thanks Jacob.

Can you provide some pics as well as what brand you purchased? What was the cost for the hardware? How difficuly was the install, how long did it take?

Thanks again.

I have a 8 inch flip down. It blocks most of my rearview mirror. If I could go back and do it over, I would have done headrest screens. So think about that too.
