DVD Player - take from '01 Yukon and install in '04 Yukon. Is it possible?

Friend of mine has an '01 Yukon SLT with the factory DVD player installed. He has no use for it and will let me have it.

Can it be easily swapped and installed into my '04 Yukon SLT which DID NOT come with a factory installed DVD Player?

Are the DVD players interchangeable from '01 to '04?

completely different wiring after 02. basically 00-02 are the same and 03-06 are the same

However, CAN the unit from the 01 be installed in my 04, CAN/WILL IT WORK? (maybe I should not have said "interchangeable", just want to know if the 01 DVD player can be hooked up so it will work in the 04?)

COME ON GUYS, ....... I know you can do better than that.

All I want to know is if I can install a factory DVD Player from an '01 and make it work/operate in a '04. Both are YUKON SLT's

Wish I had the answer for you but I don't even have a stock system for me to go out and look at, I'm sure it can be done but you would need to find out the wiring schematic and custom wire it!
