Hey fellas, i got a 96 2 door, and I was driving down the road and all of a sudden my CD player shut off and turned back on... So I just shrugged it off, and then when I slowed down to a stop sign the hoe just shut off and took a couple Cranks to get her going again... I shut it off when I got home, and it fired right up, idled for about 10 seconds and then died for a split second and then fired back up by itself...

Does anyone know what this could be? I check the battery terminals and they are hooked up tightly... What could be causing this?

Check all of your grounds! The ones on the thermostat housing, the the rear of the passenger side head, and front bottom of engine block, possible bad ground wire, beyond that I don't know, I'm not a techy guy

Do you have an aftermarket alarm? My truck had a Viper that caused all kinds of weird problems until I removed it.

No way! I yanked all that crap out, except for the resistor for the ignition, it was giving the previous owner problems so that was the first thing to go

The crowning achievement of the Viper happened the first time I took the family to the beach. After a full day of swimming went to get something out of the truck I found her idling in the parking lot. First I thought someone was trying to steal the truck then I realized she had idled long enough to consume 1/2 tank of gas! Couldn't shut it off so I popped the connector on the ignition module. As soon as the truck stalled the Viper started cranking and I had to unhook the battery (nice, fat spark). Lost the trans on the ride home from the beach and limped in to find the hot water heater had puked in the basement while we were gone. Ah memories...
