Ok. Finally getting my truck tuned. Figure I just go this route untill I get the TVS1900 SC. This will not be a mail order, but a dyno with a appointment. So it will be exact, and what my truck wants. PCM4less are doing the tune at their shop. Check them out at www.pcmforless.com I have dealt with them in the past, and am a customer for life. I know BB tune is prob great, but IMO PCM4less its their specialty.

So far I want all TQM removed, all limiters removed! new shift strategy, Emissions delete, EGR. Zero delays in the tune. Alot more timing and fuel as well. In a nutshell should be a totally different truck...

20 more days and counting....

Need to switch waterpumps as my old 5.3 pump still leaks, so im putting the lq9 water pump on.
May also to efans swap as well...
Need to change T-stat to a 180*
Need to bypass T-body coolant
NEED to hunt down a CAI

All this I would like to complete... :)

Dyno is live on a dynomometer.

BB tune also makes changes on the computer, but won;'t be on the dyno machine per 'se.

The dyno tune is like a live tune. The tuner will load the engine at certain maps and rpms, figure out the exact AFR (air flow ratio) and adjust the engine to make it happy, by giving it what it wants.. more fuel here, and there, more timing here and there while optimizing the PCM calibration. A Wideband sensor will be in the tail pipe for the most accurate reading. The truck 02 sensors are only Narrow band, so a log you take is still not too accurate, as its reading the stock nb 02 sensors. The wb is the only way to go for the true AFR. Some wb sensors have 8+ wires. It samples the AFR in microseconds IIRC.

Again you see the wonders a BB tune or mailorder tunes can do, so just imagine what a live tune does for a motor. After the dyno tune, the truck is also street driven to tweak feeling & shifts..

I was going to do a cam swap, stall, exhaust, intake, all that, then I said to heck with it, Im tune this on the dyno, then save for a TVS. Bolting that on is going to be the next mod under the hood. That will be dyno tuned as well.

I wouldn't change out the thermostat, and the Magnacharger already comes with an intake tube.

Be sure that you are getting tuned on a load bearing dyno, especially with a blower.

Dyno tunes are great with the proper tools, which is why all our tunes are dyno developed and tested. We do not tune anything that we have not personally put on a load bearing dyno.

Enjoy!
