Glad you guys are getting spares in. Kind of like when you buy a new snow shovel or snow blower, you really expect or want to use it, then it does not snow for 5-7 years!

Just did a test of my new module. (I didn't disconnect the battery.) It started and ran fine! Swapped back the original module and I too have the CEL on. I guess I have to do the drive and shut down then restart to clear it.

UPDATE - CEL is off.

On a side note, the little red secure tab/pin that is removed from the connector to disconnect the module, cracked. Can these little red pieces be replaced and if so where can they be obtained?

Thanks!!!
More likely, you'll have to source the entire connector with that red tab.

ETA: I think this is it - Part # 13574909

Thank you for the response. I suspect that you are correct. Possibly there is another connector with the exact red tab that GM uses on a less expensive connector? I guess knowing that is nearly impossible, unless you worked at a GM parts warehouse and could casually compare connectors?

For now, its secure with a broken tab holding it. I may try a plastic zip tie through the hole and see if that works.

Thanks again!

DocDoug, you might be able to find a red locking tab on a connector under the hood that would be less prone to needing the red locking tab, even something you would maybe need to remove when changing the air filter? Then you could figure out if there is a 2-4 pin connector or that you could get from a scrap yard or on ebay just for the locking tab.

Good luck and let us know what you find.
