As the title states. When the e brake is depressed the ebrake light does not come on. So here is a few things I narrowed down.
1. When the ignition is in the key on no crank. All warning and info lights will illuminate. (including ebrake light)
2. When the key is in the "key on engine running" (with ebrake depressed) all lights will run through it's usual test sequence (including the ebrake which should stay on if the ebrake is still depressed but does not)
3. ebrake engages and disengages as it should. Meaning if the ebrake is depressed the vehicle will go nowhere and when released will move.
When the ebrake is depressed however and the engine is running or on "key on" the headlights will turn on as well. Which it should not as long as the ebrake is depressed but should turn on once the ebrake is released.
I'm hoping it's just switch and I don't have to chase wires.
