"Early" VS "Late" build 2007 tahoe mirror glass differences?

So the wife clipped the drivers mirror on the garage the other day and cracked the drivers side mirror glass. It is a signal, heated and dimming mirror. The dealer says there is an "Early" and "Late" build mirror glass for the 2007.


Mine is the early and is 312$ and the late and I am assuming on into 2012 is
350+$.


Anyone know what the differences could be?

And yes, I am older than 12!

Never heard of an early or late model Tahoe. There is a 07 "classic" silverado that was still a NBS and then a 07 silverado that was a NNBS that was put out half way through the year

Was there a different version of the arrow on the Tahoe/Yukon mirrors like there was for the Escalade mirror after 09? If so, maybe that's what the parts guy is talking about and has his years mixed up.

My local GM dealer parts guy I have known since kindergarden and I trust him.

Whatever the difference is, there was a mid year change to the mirror glass in the '07.

He might be talking about the LEDs in the mirror. I didn't think it changed till 09, but early models had dots that made up the arrow and then 09+ had the lines
