they must be heavy??

Yes they are heavy....Well the mids are heavy.. The titanium highs well don't weight much.....

So today I finished cleaning my 2 car and got it nice and clean and mopped the epoxy floor.... Parked the tahoe in the middle and started the speaker install. Modified the tweeter plates,,, epoxied the housings in... Drilled and tapped the mounting holes for the mids and mocked gem up, 12 gauge ofc wire and found a mounting location for the crossovers, got all the wires done.. Had to head out of town before finishing, but will finish sunday night... Then start the projector headlights

They look good, snap a pic of the whole door panel when complete. I want to see where you decided to put the tweeter.

I modified the factory tweeter panel and mounted them in the factory location....

the crossovers will be mounted in the bottom inside corners under the mid woofer.. I plan to use 1/8 thick foam double sided tape to absorb vibration and mount the cross overs to the inside of the door in addition to small bolts..

back from vacation.. and finished installing the speakers and started to tune them... Oh man these suckers sound amazing.. extremely crisp quality sound, i got the system dialed in about how i want.. im going to sleep on it and let my ears readjust and fine tune tomorrow...... but WOW they sound great... ordering a set for the rear doors.....

Day 2 of the new speakers and they are now dialed in.. got to get threw this break in period.. but Holy Cow these suckers sound amazing.. makes my drive to and from work fun.. love these Components...
