Drive downhill! The bigger and steeper the hill, the faster and cheaper you'll go.
This plan does have some drawbacks.

I installed the corvette servo on my hoe in less than an hour. It cost me less than $30 with shipping(got it on ebay). What it did for me was make the shifts from 1st-2nd and 2nd-3rd. My tranny is already on the downhill slope, its slipping, I put in the servo and the tranny still slips but it hasn't gotten any worse since the install.
