i hve a 95 tahoe 5.7, all of the threads on efan setups say they suggest a 140 amp alternator, is anyone succesfully running an efan setup with the stock 105 amp alternator.

thanks for any info

I ran the stock 105 for a while but if you go with the mk8 fan it pulls a ton and would sit me at 11 amps while idlle with a/c on full and fan wired to run when a/c was on but stereo off..stereo on with amps and stuff would just kill it!. I just bought an ad244 alternator and put it on....works great now. do the big 3 upgrade also!

Also get a smaller pulley for the alt. It will put out more at idle because the alt will be turning faster.....no more 11.5 volts at idle in gear.
