Electric Radiator Fans running more than usual

Old thread, but dis you fix this? I'm having the same problems. 2007 Yukon Denali with 160k miles

A bad connector should prevent it from turning on the fan. not the other way around. also. the fans turn on a lot when using ac or defrost. I actually monitor when my fans turn on. I have a LED in my gauge pod that lets me know.

there is a TSB on this issue and there is a replacement for the fan harness connector available from the dealer, found out about it when I upgraded mine to the HD cooling package and I was researching if I needed to change relays or anything else besides the shroud/fans/motors, there may even be a recall for it not 100% sure I read there was some potential for a vehicle fire because of the fan harness melting.
