ticking with load when cold...although not likely entirely responsible for your symptoms, it sounds like an exhaust leak. Check exhaust manifod bolts. Probably a few broken like the rest of us

Depends on the nature of the leak. One significant enough to inhale oxygen from the outside atmosphere and throw off the a/f the oxygen sensor sensor would cause some issues

Does your fuel cap hiss when you crack it loose after driving for a little while?
