A good friend of mine has a lt1 that he would sell me for dirt cheap runs great how compatible is that engine? Could I use the block?

Negative ghostrider. Rotating assembly for the most part but not everything. Not to mention that the block and exterior parts are a no go.

Do you guys have pick n pull yards where you are? The ones here in Denver only charge like $200 for a long block.

Idk would have to ask around I can get complete engines for 650-1275

I'm asking because you don't need a complete engine, you only really need a short block, right? Where do you live?

Yea a short block would work just fine my motor runs strong and didn't have any codes I know the top end is good. I'm in lower Michigan. I can definitely do that myself too.

I meant what comes with the gasket kit? I know it will all swap over from my old motor I should only need master gasket kit and head bolts correct? I know someone posted a short block before but this one is way less
