Working on an 04 Denali. "Check oil level" message displays on startup then goes away.

Checked connections on oil level sensor on side of pan and everything seems good. So I am thinking it is the sensor itself.

I tried searching but can't find it anywhere. Anyone have a part # for the oil level sensor. Thanks

You didn't mention if you checked the oil level...? That message displays for me when the oil level is just above the low hash mark on the dipstick.

I was going to say that earlier, but isn't that the first thing you would do? Buy some of the questions on this forum, some of the people don't seem that bright.

Oil level is correct. Truck has been doing this before and after the last oil change I did on it.

I did a quick search on rock auto...

Came up with lotsa part numbers...Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 12579983, 12579985, 12603782, 19603782, 22568381, 24501416, 24507190, SU1316

AIRTEX / WELLS Part # 5S3003 is the one they sell & it looks like it's a pretty standard part across the GM line...$15
