Guys,
I know that this has been discussed before, but I couldn't seem to locate it via search, so I thought I would just throw it out there.
Most times when I am backing out of my driveway and shift from R to D, the engine revs up to about 1500 before shifting into D. I'm not one of those people (my wife!) who slams it directly from R to D without letting the vehicle stop rolling backwards. Usually, I will even pause in N until the vehicle comes to a stop before shifting into D.
I have also noticed a similar situation while slowing to a stop and the tranny is downshifting on its own. The engine revs up and I can actually feel the truck working against the brakes.
Tranny in need of a software update? Re-calibration? Anyone else see this on their truck?
Thanks,
Sievz
It does sound like a programming issue. Man I should buy sea-foam stock. You may as well urinate on it and call it a day. It would do as much as sea-foam...Does the idle go up when shifting into park?
