OP, lots of guys running 6ltr swaps here. It's not hard to do if you are mechanically inclined, shop quoted me $2k just for the swap, but I wanted to do more than just a straight swap so I did it all myself. Its a snowball effect if you start modding the motor lol.

I ran my 6.0 on the 5.3 tune for two weeks. The computer will compensate to a point. But if you start mashing the throttle it will lean it out and blow a hole in a piston. Same goes for extensive high was use. I drove mine two hours on the highway to the tuners. Took it easy and never had an issue. I also used everything off of the 5.3 and put on the 6.0. Use the 4l65 also. Direct fit no modification to anything during the swap.
