I've been lucky to find vacuum leaks using carb cleaner and spray in areas where there is vacuum. Could be a broken spring on a valve.....

Keep us posted!

I hope it's an easy fix.

That picture of the hose, may be the trans vent, not sure and can't remember where I routed mine when I replaced the tranny (on a gravel driveway mind you!).

when mine was leaking it was comming from the evap solenoid line if i remember right. my truck is not near me or i would go take pictures of the hose. its in a storage unit for the winter lol

just check every vacuum hose and make sure there all connected properly. unplug some and see if the noise changes. try unplugging them and plugging it with your thumb. maybe one has a decent size hole in it that you cant see?

Yep! Evap Solenoid.......Watch the video! Now gotta see if it's a vacuum issue or the solenoid itself. Thanks! Several mechanics were convinced that it was a serious issue because in person it sounds like a SERIOUS problem!

Had to order a new "Evaporation Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve." The only place it receives vacuum from is the intake manifold whereas the single connecting line is the EVAP pipe. It has a tight fit in the IM with an O-ring but apparently it's on the fritz. Unfortunately nobody has one in stock. This may explain the hard start and erratic idle whereas it's dumping the EVAP vapors into the IM rather than being controlled by the PCM.
