yeah I dont think the world is gonna end, I just like being prepared for anything I might come up on. I use to have full search and rescue gear in my truck but this last year I ahvent had time to participate at all. I think Im better prepared than most city slickers but theres definitly area I could improve on.

Damn, thats alot of food! Is it mostly canned? or something else.

I have my pistol, 12 gauge, .22 and my 7mm remington mag hunting rifle that should get me through whatever and plenty of ammo for each.

Its all Canned. Flour, Beans, Rice, Mashed Potatos, Oats, Corn Meal, Pasta, Powdered Milk, ect. Its all stuff I use on a regular basis and replace so it doesnt get old. Comes in Handy if I feel like being cheap and not shopping. Only thing that is nasty is the Powdered milk and I'd only use that in a survival situation.

ravingmadman- how you likin the water filter? been needing to pick one up, but never decided on one.

Get the exstream. It's a nice, cheap way to go. If you get the 1 liter bottle, it is easy to ration water. you need to consume two bottles per day. Each filter core lasts about 2 weeks for a single person. So you stock up on filter cores, and you're good. I have a bottle in each rig, in our apartment, and in our detached carport. And I live by a lake. Too easy.

Now what if say there is a civil unrest IE: people get really pissed off at the Govt. and we have general havic and anarchy everywhere and I want to go off somewhere in the mountains. OR if there was to be an invasion on US soil by an opposing army without the use of Strategic Nuclear weapons / Biological / Chemical weapons, I might have a chance to get out of dodge and find a place to ride it out and raise the flag.

TYF people just come to AZ and I'll keep you alive. My house has already been declared Home Base with a bunch of people if this happens. ME and a buddy have a plan set up if stuff starts to go to shit. He goes and grabs a bunch of night vision and radio stuff from the sheriff's office and I go raid the gun shops and Bass Pro for survival stuff :jester:
