The wiring for the ABS wiring as it attaches to the axle could have been damaged, I accidentally stretched mine but caught it before breaking them once when I dropped the axle.

They may have damaged the VSES reluctor inside the axle tube if they replaced a bearing on that side.

The simplest issues may be that the connector at the axle was not put on right, check that first, it's cheapest!
Yes, they changed the bearings. How is the VSES reluctor changed if needed?
My error does states an issue with the "speed sensor circuit" so I guess the easist first step is to swap out the sensor and wire assembly.

The wheel bearing has to be removed and then the VSES pulled and replaced. It's right behind the bearing so it is usually destroyed if the right tool is not used to remove it.

I bought the puller for my axle project but have not found a deal on the installer yet, it's $160 at GMToolsAndEquipment.

Darn, that may not be a bad price, I paid more for the puller on Ebay than they are selling it for at that website!

did you ever check the harness connector as I suggested previously?, if the harness is good and the cable is not pinched somewhere then try replacing the sensor 1st there not much $25-30. the screw will tight as a virg and have locktight on it

The harness connector appears to be plugged in. I wiggled it a bit. I did find that the mounting tab on the sensor at the axle tube is broken and the torx screw was easy to turn so I am presuming they removed or tried to remove the sensor. It has never been out before.

I only did a cursory inspection of the sensor wire over it's length because I didn't take the wheel off yet due to a hand/wrist nerve flare up and the tire is much in the line of view.

On the circuit failure report code, I reset the error code and it came back without moving the truck. Wouldn't that possibly exclude the reluctor from the equation?

A scanner live data report on the system shows the other three wheel sensors are working and reporting speed so the issue is confined to the one rear wheel.

Hopefully it's just the sensor wire assembly.

I didn't do a serious inspection of the entire sensor wire length yet because I didn't take the wheel off yet due to a hand nerve flare up and the tire is much in the line of view.

if the cable is bad, smashed, broken wire, etc then the code will show right up.
I had my truck lowered before and hit a speed bump extra hard and smashed the cable between the axle and frame and had the same problem but I could see the cable was damaged. I could clear the code, cycle the key and code came right back

you should be able to change it out with just taking the wheel off if you have a tool that will reach the screw, not sure what else is in the way from memory

All set. A bit of blind work getting the connector out of the frame near the shock and the sensors were reluctant both coming out and going in but luckily that was a simple solution. Happily not the ring on the axle.
