How on earth do you disassemble Escalade mirrors without destroying something? I found tons of info for truck mirrors, tow mirrors, etc. But nothing for Escalade. I performed the Escalade mirror swap. I think the body shop I had paint the caps broke the led turn signal (they charged me extra since they couldn’t figure out how to disassemble it either!). I have a new turn signal, but how do you replace it?

I saw a video on youtube not too long ago where a guy shows how to do it, some of the mirror caps have little clips and some just pop right off I think the esky's have the clips (but may depend on the year), try searching on youtube

I searched YouTube and Giggle. They show how to remove the caps--but I need to go deeper to replace the LED flasher. The caps don't expose much once removed. I think I need to get at it more from the front, which means removing the mirror glass?

Thank you...

ok, well unless you have one of those mirrors where the glass is screwed on from the back then all you do is pull the glass off with your fingers (carefully) because it can break the glass, normally the LED is integrated into the glass so the whole piece is replaced I am not sure how difficult doing just the led arrow(s) would be.
this procedure is still same for current years, it's easier than they make it look

you need to pull the painted cap off as well as the glass but be careful you don't break the glass it just pops off then you can unscrew the mirror and get to the front signal
