Just paint the chrome from your local shop and call it a day it's a beautiful truck I didn't even catch it at first...

Any plans for the interior?

wish it was that easy, but anything paint related with diamond white tri-coat is never easy. Its $$$ to get a good match and quailty materials and even then it's not always garunteed, any other color no problem. Had a show car back in the day that I had painted DW tri-coat and had to do touch ups here and there and it never matched! That is now my bigget pet pieve, anything that goes on this truck will be OEM from the factory paint so I know it will match.

I dunno, I had my paint shop guy at the dealership do all my WDT paint mods for my Denali and it always looked correct. As far as price he always hooks me up cause he waits to have a batch of paint for other vehicles and then paints my parts on the same run. A lot cheaper that way that having to mix and spray paint specifically for every part I took to him.

Right, I'd trust the dealer to paint it but the dealer body shop is big $$$. Works for you with the hook-up but a walk up like me their eyes would just light up ready to pounch on my wallet.

Well at one time, before it became a hookup, I just walked in and started chatting to them on a quiet Saturday. First couple of parts I paid full price, then they heavily discounted because I waited till they were spraying insurance jobs to paint my stuff, now, unless it's a really big piece, I just tip the painter.

But if you find the right manager, it's no skin off his back to paint medium/small parts for you when he's got the paint paid by an insurance company. He still makes money, you get a good price, and everyone's happy.

Doesn't hurt to ask ... that's how hookups become hookups. :)

They just opened a new Cadillac dealership about 2 miles from my house and they have a small section called "Kustom Concepts" where they do like "dealer mods" I guess. I may go shoot the $hit up there one day and see if can't get in good enough for them to help me out on the paint like you mentioned soulsea.

I have hook-ups on EVERYTHING, or else I wouldn't be able to get as much done, but the WDT paint is one thing I won't skimp on.

No interior plans other than I coverted to all LED throughout, that's about it

Sounds good Josh.

Also keep in mind that Chevy/GMC body shops tend to be a little more relaxed about stuff like that than Esky ones ... and they have just as much experience with WDT painting.
