Escalade rear vent cover with red led lights

Did the same to mine but don't have pics got mine wired for extra brake lights absolutely love the way it looks now just need the esky 3rd brake light conversion

Are they matched to the brake lights so they light up?
Or are they just markers.

Right now there marker but I think I'm going to change them to signal lights
