Although I haven't put my new ones on yet, it appears that they just pushed into some clips and therefore you would just have to pry them off with a a plastic tool not the mar the paint.

Seeking tips on safely removing chrome Denali XL rack

Hey all, new to the forum here...just saw this and I will be doing the same process in reverse. I have a '10 Denali XL, with chrome rack, and i am replacing it with the stock rack. I know, some will think im nuts but I prefer the less flashy standard roof rack. I also have a lot of rooftop accessories that just wont work on the denali rack with its inward facing rails.

Anyway, looking for tips on safely removing the chome rack without damaging it or the truck. I acquired a standard rack from craigslist for $100...

The good news is if I like the new look i may be selling a chrome rack on here shortly...LOL

Thanks for any info...

Put it in the classifieds? Just for those interested, these are not 100% bolt on to the avalanche.

Next person who asks me for one I'll direct them to you. :Handshake:
