Escalade roof rack

Hi

Im new to the form. Just got a 2011 Z71 tahoe. I have been seeing guys do the Escalade roof rack swap. Been looking for a used rack and I keep comming across the older model racks. Will they fit on a 2011 tahoe? They look similiar.

01-13 will fit. they did change "styles" as far as how they connect the ends and the rubber between the rack and roof, but as long as you get a complete rack from 01-13, you will be fine

Tons of people, including myself have done this...

At the top of the "exterior" section (the one we are in now) there is a sticky that says Escalade Roof Rack and How to or just click the blue link in this post

post pics when you are done, i have never seen a z71 with the esky rack

my stock crossbars got jacked up by and I-beam in a parking garage and dont fully lock in place, and im considering finding an 00-06 z71 rack on mine, which i know is silly cuz i think it'll be taller than the 07 stock rack...

at any rate, i'd like to see how it turns out for you

i briefly scrolled through a thread a while ago where someone had done that, very cool mod, something i plan on looking into, if i ever get moving on the rack itself... the pics i saw of that actually spurred me to want that rack! haha
