but with the blacked out taillights I had I became very popular with the D/FW departments, so I decided to go the next extreme and blind them.
Did you swap the appliques, too?
How difficult were the Esky tail lights to install?
I have them in my shop, along with the Yukon tailgate piece with camera mount
Thanks for the reply. Where'd you get the appliques? From GM, or another source?
Also, have any daytime pics that better show the tails? Thanks!
I have them in my shop, along with the Yukon tailgate piece with camera mount and a new front bumper. I'm going to get them painted and installed with the new wheels and tires before posting pics, she looks kinda rough right now
It wasn't too bad. I cut all of the wires and soldered them together, it takes a little bit more time, but I personally don't like the crimp connectors. In my experience they typically cut through the wires, causing bad connections. So I cut, soldered, used heat shrink for insulation, wrapped in electrical tape and ran everything except the load resistors through the plastic tubing. Took me about and hour and a half going slow
@Kmel- sounds like this is in your future plans?
Man I wish I had the real esky tail lights and appliques even though the G4 LED Tails are sick..
I've been kicking this around for at least a year now. LOL Who knows. I currently have the G3/G4 lights, but I'm getting a fast blink in the left one. So, I'm back to stock at the moment. I love the looks of the all-red tails, and especially the oem Esky ones -- I just don't know if I want to go through the expense of it all. Then again, I've gone through silly modding expenses before in the past, so why would I think this might be any different?
