Escalade trans gauge problems

Did a search didn't find the answer to this question, so hope it want asked before.
I have a 2004 escalade, I am having a issue with trans temp gauge. It is stuck the top and does not move down. When the car is turned off the other gauges fall to the bottom and turn off. Even when the car is sitting over night the gauge still reads at the top, near 300 area. No alarms come on saying the trans is hot or levels are low. I have checked the fluid levels they seem ok and nothing else seems to be functions abnormally.
Has anyone else had this problem, and what was the fix?

sounds like the stepper motor or cluster is on its way out (typical issue for these trucks)

I took it in and they said the trans temp gauge failed, they did a replace and lucky the dealer that I bought it from did the repair no change, saved me 500 dollars. Good thing seeing how I am past the warranty.
