I have finally had some tine to look over the motor and tranny. so low mileage on both 200km, I drained the tranny fluid, not as nice as I would have liked but the bigger problem the case says 4L60! NOT 4L65.... Is it a 4L65 called a 4L60 HD ?back in 2002 when it came out?
So I went to a caddy web site and it says It is a 4L60E HD. So REALLY what do I have ??????? I really hate to put in the same crap that I have already.
On the 6.0L I drained the oil and a bit of crap was on the drain plug. I am not to concerned but none of my vehicles ever had that. when is too much and Has anyone blew up these motors under NORMAL use?
Just wanted to say how easy it was to pull the motor and tranny complete and I mean complete. I unplugged what was necessary, undone the power steering hoses and out she came. the front clip was off the truck to make it possible to pull both motor and transmission. nothing was cut or hacked.
