Escalade wheels peeling, anyone painted, plastidip, powdercoated anything besides black?

I got a set of older Escalade 22 rims for my Suburban, considering using them even though they are peeling around the valve stem, I don't want to make them black by the normal methods in my title, but considered doing that in a silver or gray. Has anyone here seen that or have a pic of someone that has done it? I searched but couldn't find anything.

For the winter set-up I've got a set of the really old aluminum rims with sensors, oxidated, peeled, pitted, etc. Cheap, indeed. I sand-blasted and powder-coated them. Overall, I'm very happy, here are few tips.

- See if you can media- blast them. Nut shells would be ideal. Sand leaves harsh surface and leaves craters where the surface was severely corroded.
- Use high-temp Bondo filler if you get any such craters or curb damage.
- Grind the powder coat off of the mating surface and center bore of the rim before installation.

Need to paint center caps still...

It is a huge tip to keep powder coat, or paint off of all mating surfaces. Contact points with the rotor, center bore, and lug nut seating areas. Otherwise you have too tight of a fit on the hub, lug nuts that don't stay tight, and run-out on the back surface, etc.
