In the chevy version the blinkers come on as well for added light power

I agree, the brake lights are not to bright. They are not nearly as bright as the caddy. It does help with the Tahoe using the blinker as a brake light also. I have a contact at VLED I was emailing when I had problems with the lights not working. I can ask him this question.

If the brake lights arent as bright it is a problem, blinkers coming on do help but it is still not a complete product in my opinion.

By the way
I didnt know i had to wait over night or a couple days for the clear coat to cure and now i have to sand it down and redo the clear coat again. What a pain :(

Anyone any one have this problem this is what two pairs of the vland tail lights look like when the brake is applied when it is sunny out look how the third brake light is much brighter any ideas I really like the look of these lights but this is not safe and like I said I have two Yukons with these lights on them View attachment 58444
Yea these arent very bright compare to Escalade OEM ones which are aa bright as that third brake light. i was about to pull the trigger on these but now im gonna put it off

i am bummed out about the light output of these taillights .

Main reason i was getting them was visibility. plus i smoked them a little and because i smoked them to match original color i simply can not return them claiming low visibility to the seller, it just would not be fair i think.

I am going to perfect the smoking process which i messed up by handling lights before the clear coat cured and try them on to see if i like them.if not i 'll just get the original lights and add resistors .

So my final advice to ppl wanting to get these aftermarket lights would be to wait maybe next design version which hopefully will be proper or to get the original tail lights.

edit : my only hope is that the chevy version has the blinkers light up with brake lights, maybe that could make up for low light output from brake lights.time will tell
