I love the look. I did it on my Denali. In my opinion it ties together the look on the back end of my rig with the appliques and roof racks. But my hatch is different than yours. Mine has the small handle with the big was ugly as **** plastic trim piece on top. And I absolutely despised that plastic trim piece. So I wanted the esky third light as the base is painted. That being said it wasn't the easiest of mods. Yeah I could have just gone simple route and double sided tape the light base down. But that pissed off my ocd side as the esky base doesn't match the yukon/Tahoe hatch shape. It had a big gap in the middle because of the rounded shape. So I swapped out the glass for one off an esky and it's so much better. The base matches the shape of the hatch perfectly and the screw holes all line up nicely so no cheap double sided tape to hold on place a piece that cost a lot to get. Its secure and staying where it should be because it's mounted the way it was designed. And I also had the switch the wires around on the esky light to make it work plugged into my Denali third light pigtail. Anwyays yes it looks great and it's a killer mod to do on a Tahoe or yukon but it takes some work if you really want to do it correctly.

If i get it i will be getting the whole glass, since its there, and i think the guy will give me a pretty good deal between $150-$200, the light probably already wont work so ive already planned on sending it in to LEDfix. And i most definitely will be smoking it, probably going to nightshade it, wish someone had a pic of one smoked out. My main thing is the little smoked third brake light i got now matches the taillights like dead on, maybe if i had nightshade on the stock lens like this pic i think the match would be better. aaa49b7fd73a3ea146ae9a268941168d.jpg

If you can score the whole glass and light go for it. I spent 200 on the base and then itself, 100 to have it color matched, then another 150 for the hatch. So if you can get the whole setup together for 200 or less that's a score!

^^ This. The whole glass together for under $200 and use the difference to fix the LEDs. Could be a good score if you are set on it.

I paid almost retail for the whole setup back in 2006 and it was at least $5-600 back then.
