Hey guys, I was browsing Youtube and clicked on a video that seems to be a Russian review of the Tahoe and I noticed what appears to be a projector style headlamp on the Tahoe.

I tried searching to see if anyone had posted about this but didn't come up with anything. I thought that if these are OEM headlamps they might be an alternative to retrofitting existing lamps or buying aftermarket.

Heres a screen print from the video I saw:

Heres the Youtube Video (Its first seen at 0:42):

And heres a pic I found when searching Google.ru:

(Hopefully these pictures show up) I'm having trouble trying to get the screen print of the video to show up. I suck.

Don't know if this helps at all but when I had my Caprice I had "export only" housings that were made for the German market and were glass not plastic.

Hmmmm, look retrofitted to me.

I was thinking it might be OEM because the video appears to be a review of the truck.

You might be right though this video shows the normal headlights:

^This may be a dumb question but are our trucks meant to be driven in such conditions that guy in the video is driving in? I've never seen anyone do stuff like that except in land cruisers or something...

Not bashing our trucks but I don't think they would last long driving them on such roads at THAT speed. Though I will admit I really don't know anything about them when it comes to off-roading with our trucks and how well they hold up.

Edit: Don't want to derail the thread but I couldn't help but try to find off road videos of our newer gen trucks and came across this. Pretty nice!

I think it may be an optional light because I keep finding more pictures like this all on different websites. Mostly websites of cars for sale. (I think) I don't speak russian...

Is there a way to search Euro Tahoe park numbers? Put in the headlights and see if they come up as a different part number compared to the USA Tahoes. I like those euro headlights a lot.

EDIT: Are VINs listed on those Tahoes for sale on that Russian website? If so, have someone look up the VIN at the dealer and then see what part number the headlight assembly is. I bet it's different than the USA model. I'm curious how much those euro headlight assemblies are.

looks like a retro using hella 50mm micro projectors, these are off the shelf parts so doubt chevy would incorporate them into a headlight. also these are weather tight / sealed units, so of all the options chevy has has for projectors i doubt they would stick a weather sealed unit INSIDE a headlight housing
