EVAP valve P0446

Before throwing this out. If you ever have a problem with the code P0446 and if you already change your Gas cap, EVAP valve canister in the back of the truck, purge valve solenoid inside engine bay. By this time I was 2 months deep with this problem. Clear the code like 5 times and kept coming back. Until I found a video on YouTube about a sensor on top of the gas tank. You don't have to drop the whole tank but you need and extra jack to help with the gas tank. About 1 hour labor. You just need to lower it just a bit so you can stick your hand to release the sensor. Is call Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor.

Thanks for sharing about this--pressure sensors like this are made very cheaply using nonmetallic diaphragms which after years of exposure to either gasoline fumes, vacuum or pressure get brittle and either crack or do not move properly as the pressure changes.

........and the tools to complete this job is a jack, a ratchet, a long extension, a15mm deepwell socket, a flat blade screwdriver (for the fuel filler hoses).

Changed EVAP vent solenoid, purge valve and gas cap to permanently get rid of P0455 and P0396, but then got P0449 (which wasn't there before), so I guess the fuel tank pressure sensor is next. Having problem filling the tank, too.

Really getting annoying... Plus, I need to get the Tahoe inspected/registered before my starts freaking out having to drive an illegal vehicle when April comes around.
