Does the tune remove the speed governor? Mine sort of hits a brick wall at 110/111 but pulls really hard right up to that point.

Mine did. Used to top out at 97 MPH. I'd love to see how high I could get it now, but I don't want to lose my license!
I'd think all tuners would remove the factory top speed. If not, what's the sense of getting it tuned?

yes, as mentioned, a tune will remove speed limiter....
however i wouldnt test out speeds over 120 until you look into a upgraded driveshaft.

a few threads & vids of driveshafts letting go on dyno runs are posted online.
plus once the DIC displays over 130 or so, it will pop up a reduced engine power message. :(

i suspect teh PPV/SSV pkgs have different programming & better driveshafts...among their other upgrades

That 130 on the dic, that doesn't get tuned out? I don't have the dic anyway.

I don't know, all this sounds fishy to me. I'm gonna have to see if I can beat this 130mph speed limit you all speak of with my LSA Denali :)

Stay tuned, I'll you all know in mid May if 140mph is possible in these trucks. We shall see soon enough...

Build thread: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/thre...build-this-got-outta-hand-really-quick.92148/

Edit: Oh, and the drive it hard thing... lol, I drive all my cars hard. I'm 1/2 to 3/4 throttle off most lights I would say. "Sometimes" I get in to the gas slow and get up to speed but for the most part I am 0 to 5 over the speed limit pretty damn fast. Michigan here we do 80 on the freeway or you get passed like crazy. If your not aggressive with the throttle getting on the on ramp of a freeway your gonna get hit because other people don't give a **** about hitting you. I've been hit twice in 3 months, I know. Drive it like you stole it, just take care of it ;-)

Have fun but stay safe!
