Well i have had this little rattle from a heat shield on my muffler for a year now and today i decided i was going to take it down and try to fix it. While trying to separate the exhaust at the flange we broke both bolts holding it together and even with a torch and a hammer we were unable to get them out. so now i have to wait to get it into an exhaust shop on Monday. It is very very LOUD!!! kinda sounds cool though. I was getting a lot of strange looks while driving home from a friends house today. If i remember i'm going to make a video of it tomorrow and i'll post a link.

I just put on a new Magnaflow system yesterday, like you I broke BOTH bolts off. I also had to cut the strap clamp off the other side to get that free.

I get scared anytime I mess around with exhaust or exhaust manifold bolts on an older vehicle.

You might be able to press the old bolts (what's left of them) out and press in some new ones. Looks doable on the system I pulled out.

I Have an appointment made for tomorrow morning to get it fixed. It's only costing an extra $30 to get a magnaflow put on instead of a factory one so i figured might as well. It will be nice not sounding like a monster truck driving around.
