Does a cold air intake and cat back exhaust cause any problems with the warranty?

Thx

It depends on what you're trying to warranty...

Obviously they can't claim an intake messed up your radio and therefore not warranty the radio. They must be able to prove what you did (add intake) cause the repair...

Look up "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act"

Have the dealer install it. They installed mine. Then they can’t say it was installed wrong yadda yadda.

Cold air intake could cause extra hassles with dealer service dept, especially if you ever had a drivability issue. Simple solution: take off the cold air temporarily if you needed warranty service for this.
In strict states like Calif, presence of cold air would automatically fail the visual portion of emissions test, unless the cold air had an "EO" -- a state-certified exemption certificate. Only the bigger after-market companies can afford to get those EOs.

Cat back exhaust changes are fine, even in crazy Calif.
