I'm surprised the warranty is paying for all that, especially if the fluids weren't changed at recommended intervals. Usually they will yell "neglect" and refuse payment. Same thing with running out of fuel. Seems like they would just tell you that you ran the pump dry and it died. Count yourself as a lucky one!

It's an extended warranty that I've already PAID for. I don't know what the previous owners have done with it. I'm sure they never did have the boxes changed. That's why I'm saying I'm glad I actaully got an extended warranty for once. Also if the gas gauge isn't reading properly, I'm obviously going to run outta gas. Not my doing.

I guess if you bought the vehicle used, and bought the warranty at that time, they can't fault you for anything that the previous owners did/didn't do.
