Earlier this year I needed to do some long standing work on my farm. In the past, I've hauled rock and dirt with a tilt bed trailer and unloaded it by hand with a shovel. Instead, I bought this truck and what I expected to take 4-6 weeks for three projects, took 1 day for 2 of them and the last one took 4 days.
I'm done with the jobs and thought about keeping the truck as a tow vehicle but it is loooong and the frame is rusty. So instead of selling my regular pickup, I'm keeping it and selling this.
This is a 1999 F-350 Ford Superduty Powerstroke with the 7.3 DI Turbo, automatic and 4X4. (Well, 4X6 since it's DRW.) 207,600 miles on the clock. I think the transmission might be rebuilt due to a Jasper rebuild sticker in the door jamb. It runs great, and fires right up. 4X4 works and transmission shifts good.
The body is decent. It's a Ford so it has some rocker and cab corner rust. The cab mounts look decent. It has a 9 foot flat bed with an electric dump hoist.
Now the bad, I am selling it as a parts truck. It runs and drives okay, but it came from the Indianapolis area so it's a Northern Truck. Down here it was used as a snow plow truck. As such, the FRAME IS RUSTY. There are two spots in front that are seriously bad. Can it be fixed? Maybe. I'm not talented enough to fix it.
It does drive okay, but the 156 inch wheel base means you need 40 acres to turn around. It is currently plated and insured. This would make a good truck to rebuild a roll over. One guy offered me a good frame for $500 but I don't have the shop space to swap it and I'm old. I'm done with the truck and don't need it anymore.
I'm asking $4500 or offer. I'll post another message with some more photos. Including the rust.
