factory bose 10 speaker system in 2012 tahoe

so i was in my wifes tahoe the other day and turned up the music above half and it sounded like total crap. the rear speakers were so disorted and so was the speaker in the center dash. anyone have a clear sounding bose system or is this usual?

I have an 03 that used to have a Bose system, what you describe sounds pretty standard. Replacing just the headunit with an Alpine made a big difference in mine.

I have zero issues with my Bose would I like it to sound better? Yes.

Do I have any complaints? No.
It sounds fairly good to me. Better than all my friends.

Lol normally yes. But right now my box is being fixed so no and I'm content with the bose if only it was a tad louder.

It's loud but it isn't made perfectly to spec. Car toys hoed me dirty.

Yea, I felt the same way when I got my Denali. The Bose system in it is nowhere near the sound quality as the Bose in my previous Audis. Think it might be because it's not optimized for the interior shape and size of a big SUV. The Bose in my FIL's Buick Enclave is vastly superior, but then so is just about everything else from the auto-up windows to the Nav and the fit and finish of the interior. But it won't tow my trailer so it's irrelevant I guess.

Bose in our 2011 does not distort at that point but leaves much to be desired.
