Factory bose woofer size

I think I killed the factory bose sub, anyone know what size it is and are there any aftermarket woofers that will fit in its place? Damn thing sounded so good...

I'd like to take the woofer enclosure apart and replace the sub only, guess it will be next weekend's project

well damn, the sub in the console is not a common looking one, guess the twelves in the rear will have to stay

What you do over power them? Are you using the Bose amp?

I probably did over do it, I'm using a PowerAkustik (sp) 1 ohm stable mono amp, but I believe it puts out too much wattage(can't remember how much) for the woofer. It is now blown and thought I could just shove a new one in thinking it was a conventional one. Think I'll just forget about it unless I remove the console in the future.
