Factory Locked Running Boards!

I have a 2023 Yukon XL Denali that I believe still has 'factory locked' running boards. The drivers side and passenger side are not working at the same time. The car was delivered to our dealership Thursday night and I took delivery early Saturday. I think the dealership may have skipped this step. I have found a way to 'unlock' them on other forums, but it involves a toggle switch in prior year models without the car running. The only way to turn these on/off is on the digital screen (that I know of). Anyone else had this problem?

nothing in the owners manual about the running boards?
I will add to that
if they do not operate per the prescribed method in the owners manual then go to the dealer and tell them they are not operating as prescribed.

You may have already tried this procedure in link. I tried procedure on my 17 and straightened them up. You might have to push button to run not start and when screen comes up toggle on off with screen.

Take it in, you paid big bucks for that rig. They will have them on while you wait.
My ''power assist steps'' went into ''shipping mode'' when I changed the battery. After more than a dozen attempts to unlock them, I gave in and took it into the dealer. They had a hard time unlocking but they got them back on. They were stumped also, but they didn't charge me on my out of warranty Tahoe. Good dealers take care of their customers.
