Two coupons worth mentioning for advance auto right now

Code - P20 - 20% off
Code - AP55 - 15% off + $50 next order of $100+

Use both of them at checkout and you will get 20% off order and the $50 coupon.

The coupon is only good for a little over a month, so buy everything you need now and then on your second order spend over $100 and use your coupon.

A quick comparo for my 5.7L OBS:

This site is REALLy easy to navigate for the parts needed for a Tune-up...check "Ignition & Tune-up" under the "Replacement Parts section"

Sparkplug wires are INSANELY expensive @ Advance, get them somewhere else.

I used all the AC Delco part numbers from Advance and plugged them into:
http://frugalmechanic.com

I'm personally going with Advance b/c if i split my order in two (using the $50 coupon), I'll come out ahead pretty significantly...minus the wires of course, those I'll get somewhere else.

Hope this helps!!

I've used OEM AC Delco plugs and wires exclusively for almost 5 years with nary a hiccup. Sure, they aren't the bling bling super-duper awesome hot sh*t plugs and wires that are the latest craze...but they work great, they are reliable, and theres no need to upgrade either item unless you're significantly modded and making lots of power. Besides, they last for ~100K miles (depending on the driver, of course). I'd rather do it once and be done with it for a while - the rear plugs can be a bit of a ***** on these things.

Speaking of which, I'm about to order a new set for the burb at 230K - I order most of my parts from www.rockauto.com. Great experiences with them. Wire sets are around $58, and plugs are around $5.50/ea there IIRC. They might be cheaper elsewhere but I'm ordering a ton of stuff from them all at once so I really don't care. By the way, here's a 5% coupon code for them: 51135383431335

Enter that number in the "how did you hear about us" block of the shopping cart and it will be applied when you check out. Saved me a fair chunk of change, about $40 off total (then again, it's a $900+ order). That number expires on May 15th though, so going if you want to use it.
